Moving or not moving?

More and more , Canalblog give me error messages, server unavailability or various other messages which makes it time consuming and frustrating to write my posts. Earlier this morning I wrote a post and when I clicked to post it, I just lost everything....

WHY, OH WHY?

I am not a good knitter. I know it. Knitting doesn't come naturally for me and I am really slow at it even though I learned 30 years ago and knitted on and off since then. Slow means that it took me 9 months to finally complete the Lacy Prairie Shawl...

Stash enhancement

Tuesday morning I got my skeins from Ami-Ami . My order was sent by fax on Sunday!! Talk about speed! Okay, they aren't far from here but hey, another seller from whom I bought lately isn't farther and the order took over a week to get here. All the yarns...

Tomorrow, the older of my birds is leaving the

Tomorrow, the older of my birds is leaving the nest. She is beginning University in the big town only September 5 but, of course, she is eager to go; no Mom nor Dad to tell her to clean up her room or to help with the housechores. Mom and Dad aren't so...

Another day in Paradise

In fact, I have another 10 days of rest so I can knit, surf, read, anything but stand up too long. Isn't it great? This is why I had time to work on my Amanda As this project is going quite fast, I am planning more, of course and while looking in my knitting...

Cooler temperature = time to knit

Cooler...well, 25C is cooler. I've been going thru all my patterns, bookmarks and web sites to find the next project. I NEEDED to start on a scarf and on a new pair of socks. The idea is to use up as much of my stash as I can to make space for new purchases....

Why the name Knit and Knot... well, in my little part of the world, for everyone who doesn't know the difference between crafts, everything is called macrame - knots... hence the name. Really, I work with most everything: threads-fibers for knitting,...

At last!

I've been toying with the idea of an English language blog for quite a while. A couple of times, I tried to write in both languages but it wasn't easy for English-speaking bloggers so, after surfing a lot, read blogs with the same interests, here I am....
